We thank the Almighty Allah for the ripe and fulfilled life you lived.
We will recollect with fund memories the time you spent on this side of the divide.
I particularly remember how you were always so generous with everything you had with me and all the people that came across you.
I remember that I wanted always to visit you at the hometown (Oka, Akoko Southwest, Ondo State Nigeria) before heading for school in the North of Nigeria during my Secondary school days.
I knew whatever amount of money I had as pocket money from my dad would grow fatter after my visit to you.
You were always so excited to see me and you demostrated that excitement through the wonderful and delicious meals you prepared for us (I didn’t always visit you alone) to eat;
We pretty much talk about those days till date. I thank God for the wonderful life you lived and despite how long you spent with us (100 plus years), you were blessed all through with good health and when it was time to leave; you left so peacefully.
I will surely surely miss your soft spoken voice and your prayers.
Sleep well Grandma till we meet to part no more and may your gentle soul rest in perfect peace (Amen).
