Olufunke Abiodun Osunde (Nee Edgal)

Olufunke Abiodun Osunde nee Edgal was a native of Eme-ora in the Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State and was born to the family of Elder and Mrs Ekundayo Edgal on 23rd December 1953 in the Ebute Metta area of Lagos State, Nigeria.

A first born of five children, Olufunke Osunde attended St Jude’s Primary School Ebute Metta, Lagos State and Eyemote Grammar School in Iyin Ekiti, Ekiti State. She has a City and Guild Diploma in Catering and Hotel Management. Olufunke resigned from the Nigerian Ports Authority as a clerk in the 70s to go into business full-time. She was a business woman with experience in fabrics merchandising and catering services. She was a hardworking woman during her lifetime that would keep at new ideas until she got results.

Olufunke Abiodun Osunde was a Christian with a hearty of gold who bore life’s vicissitudes with a calm and meek disposition. She would sacrifice her time and skills for friends, families and neighbours without expecting a return. She spent the latter part of her life working for God as an evangelist and intercessor at the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, Jakande Estate Regional Headquarters, while managing her catering business.

‘Mummy Moses’ as she’s fondly called was always ready to help the next person in need. Survived by five children, four siblings and a husband, she would be fondly remembered for her good nature and meek disposition towards all and sundry
